Armistice Day Concert for Ukraine

On Friday 11 November, Alleyn’s All Star Choir joined the London Oriana Choir and soloist Katy Treharne at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral to perform a requiem, The Cry.

Members of the Ukraine community also performed Ukrainian music at this extremely moving evening, which was dedicated to the children who have died in the war in Ukraine. The names of the children who have been lost were read out and a candle was lit for each child.

In addition, Mrs Lunnon gave a reading of The Return of the Prodigal Son by Henri Nouwen.

Funds raised from the evening have gone towards counselling for children and mothers on the frontline, supported by the mental health charity Beyond Conflict, and for The Ukrainian Welcome Centre in London for displaced Ukrainians who have fled the war.
