Not one but two recent alumni made it to the finals of BBC Young Musician this year.
Alex Buckley (Tyson’s 2022) and Sophie Warner (Spurgeon’s 2022) appeared on the BBC this week in the Woodwind and Percussion finals.
Alex started clarinet age nine and made it all the way Woodwind Final. His performance at Saffron Hall drew praise from the judges for its captivating warmth and bravery.
Playing the drums and then the vibraphone, percussionist Sophie produced a "fierce, dynamic, pulsating and swashbuckling" performance in her Final.

Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
