Alleyn’s Junior School pupils took part in Walk to School Week which is a great national initiative to get children active and to appreciate some of the benefits to themselves and the environment, of leaving the car behind.

Each child was given a ‘5 day walking challenge’ booklet, with activities for them to complete on their way to and from school. At the end of the week, they received a special Walk to School Week badge to reward their efforts. Throughout the week there were competitions including a Bicycle Floor Art Competition where the children were invited to recreate a bicycle using household items. The competition was judged by the Eco Council Committee and prizes were awarded in the Infants and the Junior School.

Well done to all those who took part!
