Last Friday, we had the immense pleasure of welcoming the Prime Warden of the Worshipful Company of Saddlers to meet our current Saddlers' Scholars and celebrate our long-standing relationship. The scholarships are awarded annually to the pupils who show exceptional academic potential when they enter the Senior School.
During the ceremony, the scholars were presented with a special commemorative Saddlers' tie, which they will wear during the whole of their academic journeys at Alleyn's. The Year 12 scholars were also presented with brooches and cufflings to recognise the continuing relationship between Saddler's and Alleyn's.
To end the ceremony, the Year 7 scholars were invited to sign the Saddlers' Book, which contains the names of more than 300 Alleyn's pupils who have received the award since its inception in 1971.
A big thank you to Theo (Tn) who gave a moving rendition of Take, o take those lips away by William Shakespeare.
We repeat our gratitude for the support and generosity the Worshipful Company of Saddlers has extended to our scholars over the years, and we hope they remain proud of our scholars' achievements.
We are delighted to announce announce the opening of Alleyn’s Regent’s Park and Alleyn’s Hampstead, from September 2025. These will be the first schools to join the Alleyn’s Schools Group. Learn more here.
