Huge congratulations to Aanya from Year 11 who took part in The European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad EGMO 2023 in Portorož, Slovenia over the Easter break and came away with a silver medal.
Aanya explains more about this year's EGMO;
"I am delighted to have won a Silver Medal representing United Kingdom at the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) in Slovenia. While the competition part of EGMO was of course important and it was a proud moment for me to go up the stage with the national flag to collect the medal, EGMO was much more than that for me. I enjoyed interacting and doing activities with the world's best female mathematicians from 55 countries - this year's activities included treasure hunt, salsa workshops, laser shooting, and a cave trip. We also met the only female Fields Medallist, and the President of Slovenia."

Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
