Alleyn’s dancers delighted two packed-out MCT audiences with a display of incredible creativity and vibrancy, in their latest Dance Show, EVOLVE on Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 March.
Featuring more than 200 dancers and a range of styles from classical to contemporary, street to samba and solo and group performances, tickets for both evenings were snapped up and sold out in just hours.
Commitment and energy radiated throughout each event - from the excellent choreography – some of which was arranged and led by the pupils themselves, to the professional execution of each performance. It was clear how hard every pupil worked.
Director of Dance at Alleyn’s, Natalie Demain, said:
“I was so proud of the amazing company of over 200 dancers. There was such team spirit backstage and generosity of spirit. Year 7s all the way through to Year 13s supporting each other culminated in an amazing finale. The quality of the work was outstanding, and I was so proud of everyone involved.”
Head, Jane Lunnon, said:
“The quality, exuberance, joy, camaraderie, the sheer fellowship across all year groups, was something quite remarkable. Could not be prouder of them and our phenomenal Alleyn’s Dance Department.”

Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
