Double Bass player David Bowden (Tulley's 2010) is part of on The Fergus McCreadie Trio and plays on The Mercury-Shortlisted album, Forest Floor, from acclaimed Scottish pianist Fergus McCreadie.

The Mercury Prize with FREE NOW ‘Albums of the Year’ celebrate and promote the best of British & Irish music recognising artistic achievement across a range of contemporary music genres. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, 18 October 2022 at the Mercury Prize with FREE NOW Awards Show at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith.

David is based in Glasgow, working primarily in the fields of jazz, folk and contemporary improvised music. David studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, In 2017 David won the title of ‘BBC Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year’. Graduating with first class honours and the 2015 Yamaha Jazz Scholarship award. He has also spent time studying abroad in Amsterdam and Ghana.
