We held a special assembly mid-morning to recall the day some 30 years ago when the Junior School first opened its doors to pupils. We were fortunate to have the company of Tom Hunt who, along with his sister Carla Floyd, were some of the first pupils through the door. Mrs Goldsmith, who is our longest serving member of staff, also recalled the opening and added her own reminiscences. The children were fascinated about a world without mobile phones and computers and comforted to hear that the house system was in place from the very start and that the uniform has changed very little in this time.
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
