Helen grew up in Hong Kong and Singapore before her family settled in Gloucestershire. She was educated at Badminton School, Bristol and read English and Drama at Kent University. She completed her PGCE at the Institute of Education in London and spent four years working as an English teacher in the state sector. Following a year in Sydney, teaching English at a girls’ private school, Helen joined Alleyn’s in September 2002. She has been an integral part of the Alleyn’s English department ever since. Helen has had extensive academic experience, working as Deputy in the English Department for many years and Acting Head of English for one. As Assistant Head of Middle School and more recently as Head of Tulley’s House, she has built up broad pastoral experience and truly believes in supporting the wellbeing of the pupils in her care. Helen lives locally with her husband and two children.

Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
