Summary of this week's sporting highlights:

UK15A Girls’ Cricket

"The U15A team, led by Zoé beat Reigate in the Surrey (SOCS) Cup Semi Final having lost to them two weeks earlier in a different cup match. The team turned that loss around in spectacular style bowling the opposition out for 87 runs in 19.3 overs.

The entire team made valuable contribution with the bat, ball and in the field at different stages, in a very loosely contested match and Maia and Lola impressed with a very composed partnership in the final overs which helped the team over the line.

The team are through to the Surrey Cup Final (SOCS) where they will play Cranleigh."

Jen Wilson, Assistant Director of Sport (Head of Co-curricular Games)

U18 Girls' Tennis

"The U18 girls topped off a busy tennis season by representing Alleyn’s at the Surrey Finals. The finals were played on beautiful grass courts giving them a taste of Wimbledon minus the strawberries and cream! Alleyn’s faced Reeds school in the semi-finals and were 5-4 victors with Akansha and Taba (Yr11) showing some tops class shots as Alleyn’s 1st pair. The final against the hosts St George's College was a tough battle with long rallies and pinpoint volleying in which Alleyn’s had to settle for Silver Medals. A stella performance by the six girls involved and to bring silverware home was a great achievement."

Shona Martin, Assistant Director of Sport (Head of Curriculum PE)
