Louis Partridge's career is going from strength to strength. Having starred recently in the hugely popular Netflix mystery movie, Enola Holmes whilst still at Alleyn’s, he now features in Pistol, a six-part mini-series directed by Danny Boyle about the most infamous punk band of the 70s. Based on guitarist Steve Jones’s memoir, Lonely Boy:Tales from a Sex Pistol, it follows the short but influential reign of the band, who despite having only released one album, are seen as one of the most game-changing acts in rock-n-roll history. Described by The Guardian as 'high-profile’, Louis plays Sid Vicious in the series. Learning bass as part of his role and then having to ‘rough it up’ to emulate Vicious’s notorious semi-competent playing style, Louis, too young to remember the original band, apparently became something of an expert on Vicious, after “reading books, watching documentaries, speaking to former Sex Pistols and people who were around”.
