Water polo win

The U13 girls water polo team travelled up to Northampton School for Boys on Monday for their ESSA Water Polo National Championship finals. They played brilliantly in their first game, winning comfortably against Bedford Modern School then, despite playing their socks off, lost to Manchester Grammar School 5-2. This progressed the team through to the semi finals, to play the winners of the other group, Bolton School. The girls were incredible and won the game 3-0, meaning they were in a national final! The team had to play Manchester Grammar once more in the final and played absolutely brilliantly but ended the game 2-3 to achieve national silver medals!

"To come away as the second best team in the country is simply outstanding and it is so deserved; the girls have worked so hard all season and have come on leaps and bounds. We really must commend the team on their work ethic and their love for the game; they were already talking tournament tactics before we even left Townley Road at 7.45am!
