Alleyn’s Soul Choir and Alleyn’s All Stars Choir, which are both run by Music Teacher Darcey Wynter, have been making beautiful music in the Pavillion at lunchtimes this year.

The All Stars Choir has had a full-on year performing at seven concerts, three assemblies, the MFL concert, the Christmas concert and A Lot of Hot Air and a Bit of Scrape. This term, they are focusing on some lighter numbers to perform at the end of term assemblies, including ‘30/90’ from Tick…Tick…Boom! and a Jackson 5 medley.

Soul choir has performed in five concerts, including a stunning version of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah at the prestigious Jazz Night. This term, they are singing a wonderful rendition of ‘Total Praise’ by Richard Smallwood, which they are looking forward to performing at the end of term service.

Both choirs are preparing for performances as part of our Chapel Services on 1 July.

If you would like to join either choir you are welcome - just turn up! Both choirs practise in the Pavillion at lunchtimes between 1.20-2.05pm. Soul Choir (Years 9-13) is on Mondays and All Stars (Years 7 & 8) is on Tuesdays. See you there!
