Pupils across Alleyn’s work together to discuss and lead on the burning issues of our time, but this is the first year we have Lower School Ambassadors who will connect with their Upper School counterparts so they can report back to and start important conversations in the Lower School.

The Ambassadors are:

Anna and Max - MSU (Minorities Student Union) Ambassadors

Sophie and Emily – Gender Equality Ambassadors

Daniel – LGBTQ+ & Allies Ambassador

Tanav and Diana – Eco Ambassadors

Eloise and Anna – Charities Ambassadors

The Year 8 pupils met with prefects, club leaders and teachers for the first time this break over tea, juice, biscuits, and Freddos - delivered by Ms Lunnon - to discuss their areas of interest and share information.

Ms Lunnon spoke to the pupils about how important young people are in bringing about change in society, citing Greta Thunberg’s role in pushing for change in sustainability matters at this crucial time.

What some of the Ambassadors thought:

"I feel exited to make a change and make this world a better place for future generations because it is about our future. Therefore it is our job to protect this planet." Tanav

"I feel really excited and thrilled to be a Lower School ambassador because it gives me the opportunity to make a difference and to make as much positive change as I can." Daniel

" I'm really excited to be a LS ambassador as I get to work with the Upper School on important matters." Anna

"I feel thrilled to be a LS ambassador as I get to be part of the team who get to help change the school and it just makes me feel like an involved member of the community too!" Diana

The LS Ambassadors will be presented with their Ambassador badges tomorrow, which they will no doubt wear with pride.
