This week two teams from Year 6 competed in the finals of the Quiz Club Maths Quiz having ranked amongst the highest in the heats. The eight children demonstrated excellent collaboration and teamwork as well as superb mathematical thinking to answer 30 multiple choice questions of varying degrees of difficulty. It was a tough fought competition with 28 schools across the country in the running. Both teams ended the first round around the halfway mark before a slow but steady climb upwards. Team 2 pipped Team 1 by a mere 25 points, scoring 1400 points and coming joint 6th. Team 1 scored 1275 points and came a very satisfying 7th place. A big congratulations to you all.
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
