On 27 April, Alleyn’s launched its first online Higher Education Fair to help guide students through the next exciting steps to life after school.

Usually held in person, online talks and information, study support skills, links to Massive Open Online Courses and virtual open days have this year been collated online to support students and their parents through these important decisions safely due to current Covid-19 restrictions.

A wealth of information has been put together from more than 30 planned exhibitors, including most of the Russell Group universities to allow pupils to virtually walk through the Fair and gain information on choosing a university, find out about apprenticeships and Art applications, learn about applying to Oxford or Cambridge Universities, as well as information about making an overseas application. A specific Medic Portal has also been put together for students who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine.

In a welcome video, Alleyn’s Director of University Admissions, Miss Copeland, signposts talks from Jamie Hilder, Degree Apprenticeship Manager at Queen Mary University of London as well as Dr Nicholas Cole, a Senior Research Fellow at Pembroke College Oxford, on applying to Oxford and Cambridge. Miss Copeland encourages students to approach her and the team about any questions they might have about their exciting next steps beyond school.

Students and their parents can access the Higher Education Fair on the School Hub.
