Alleyn’s Scientist in Residence, Professor Kevin Fong, visited the Junior School to share his knowledge and passion for space travel with children from Years 5 and 6 at Alleyn’s Junior School who were joined by pupils from Bessemer Grange Primary School, Lyndhurst, Primary School, Harris Primary School and Heber Primary School. Entitled ‘Back to the Moon’ the children learned about the challenges to be overcome in space travel and life in space. With a return to the Moon very much on the horizon for humankind once more, the lecture was perfectly timed. The children’s curiosity was certainly sparked judging by the number of intelligent and perceptive questions. Thank you, Professor Fong.
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
