Congratulations to rising star Luc De Fougerolles (Roper's 2024) who has signed his first professional football contract with Fulham FC.
Luc, who left Alleyn’s in Year 11 to pursue a football scholarship with the club, has always shown exceptional skill and promise on the pitch as well as a mature approach to balancing sport and his studies.
Mr Phil Bone from Alleyn’s, who coached Luc football during his time at School, said:
“It was Luc’s positive and enthusiastic approach to training that shone through. He was fully committed to all aspects of school life, including representing the School in other sports. What set him apart in football was that he was highly effective and had the ability to dictate play within matches.
“It has been fantastic to see Luc’s development at Fulham and we all wish him every success for his future career.”
Luc, who plays right-back, told fulhamfc.com:
"I'm absolutely delighted to sign on with the club that I've been with since I was eight years old. I've spent most of my life here so it's a really special moment for myself and my family."
The 17-year-old has impressed at Under-18s level with his excellent one-on-one defending and ability to create further up the pitch. His consistently strong performances have seen him move up to the Under-21s on multiple occasions this season.
Fulham Academy Director Sean Cullen, commended Luc on his attitude:
"Luc developed a professional attitude towards his development at a very young age, and I am sure this will help his transition into the next phase of his journey."
Well done, Luc. We are all extremely proud of you at Alleyn’s.

The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
