Careers Week 2023

Careers Week 2023 was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to gain a deeper understanding of the world of work and the many exciting career paths that are available to them. Throughout the week, pupils from all year groups were encouraged to think about their future careers, in relation to the subjects they are studying and to consider the skills and qualifications they will need to achieve their goals.

The school took an active role in the week's events by hosting a number of talks by parents and (pictured) alumna Dr Zara Robinson (Tyson's 2012) who shared their own career experiences with pupils. These talks were incredibly insightful and gave pupils a realistic view of what it’s like to work in different fields. From art history to architecture, pupils were given the opportunity to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the different career paths that are available to them.

The highlight of the week was the bumper day on Thursday, when a number of talks were held across the site during PSCHE to all age groups. Parents, alumni and local professionals were invited to share their career stories, and pupils were able to learn about the different pathways that can lead to success. The talks were inspiring and showed pupils that with hard work and dedication, they can achieve their career ambitions.
