Over two nights the whole of Year 9 visited the Shaftesbury Theatre to watch & Juliet, the hit musical where Juliet reclaims a story that has been written in the stars!
Year 9s are all studying Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet this term in English and the musical & Juliet is a fun and thought-provoking musical based on the play.
English teacher, Hannah Durno, said:
“The pupils enjoyed the irreverent treatment of the play, the incredible number of pop hits they managed to cram in and the ideas around identity and empowerment.”
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
