Alleyn’s Houses battled it out this morning in the hotly contested inter-House Charity Loose Change Competition, all in the name of charity.

Having raided their pockets and checked the back of the sofa, pupils in each House from Year 9-13 collected together all of the loose change they could find.

With lighting speed, teamwork and bags of enthusiasm, they went up against the clock and each other to see which House could create the longest line of coins across the Sports Hall.

Not quite matching last year’s formidable effort of 4.5 lengths of the hall, Spurgeon’s were the victors with a valiant effort of 2 and a half lengths of coins in just ten minutes!

Congratulations also go to Cribb’s who placed second, Brading’s and Brown’s who took joint third, and to all of the pupils who took part.

The loose change will now be counted and donated to each of the Houses chosen charities.
