What a term for the Alleyn's Academy!

Many pupils from Alleyn's have been volunteering to support our fantastic external coaches to deliver fun weekly sports sessions inspiring children from local primary schools.

Highlights this term have included football with The Kinetic Foundation and Girls United Football Association, Hockey with Tulse Hill and Dulwich Hockey Clubs and Rugby with Spike from Old Alleynians Rugby Club. We were also thrilled to host our first ever Alleyn's Academy fixtures. Thanks to all the pupils from Alleyn's Junior School and Turnham Academy who turned out to make it a truly memorable experience.

Isy in Year 10, who has recently been selected for the England U16 Hockey squad, has been volunteering to help with the hockey sessions. She said:

“It has been a really rewarding experience for me seeing the same children each week improving and loving sport and the opportunities that we are able to give them. Being able to coach children with the same passion as me is a brilliant experience that I look forward to throughout the week. They have taught me as much as I hope I have taught them!”
