After a two-year hiatus (thanks to Covid) Founder’s Day was back!

It was wonderful to have pupils, Alumni, teachers, families and local residents on site on Saturday afternoon to enjoy the cricket, stalls, live music, abseiling, fairground rides and dog show – to name but a few activities to take part in! It is quite amazing how much can happen in 3 hours.

Many thanks to all those that attended, helping to raise valuable funds for charitable projects including:

•                     The King’s College Hospital Charity: to help fund play therapy equipment for paediatric inpatients

•                     Dog Kennel Hill Adventure Playground

•                     SDCAS Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers

•                     The Maudsley Charity

•                     Music as Therapy International

•                     The South London Refugee Association

•                     The Alleyn Benevolent Fund (ABF)

•                     Blood Cancer UK

Huge thanks also go to our catering team who put a wonderful BBQ and Afternoon Tea, and to our pupils and APA (Alleyn’s Parents’ Association) for volunteering on stalls and selling raffle tickets on the day.

Not least, it was fantastic to welcome back so many Alleyn’s Alumni. Founder’s Day is always an occasion for our community to connect with and celebrate each other, and it is a pleasure to see so many former pupils joining in with the day’s activities with such gusto, and, in doing so, providing us with the happy reminder that that we are all, ‘always Alleyn’s’.

We very much hope that you enjoyed your day.
