Head of Catering, Carlo Lubrano was Head Judge for the Platinum Pudding Competition. The lucky winners from our Junior School saw their puddings come to life on a grand scale on Thursday 26 May.

Along with Carlo’s truly British royal themed savoury menu of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding wraps, fish goujons, jersey royals, crushed peas, and coronation mayonnaise. Pupils and staff were treated to winning creations including a cake fit for a queen by Eliza whose winning Elizabeth Cake creation was plated up in the Main Dining Hall. Further winning creations were made available as cold desserts Strawberry Crumble Crunch by Ina, Jelly Jam Cupcakes by Rebecca and Real Platinum Cupcakes by Trix.

With our coffee shop also featuring winning sweet treats by Zoë, Léonce and Annabelle including an Eton Sponge, Lemon Layer Cake and aptly named Cookies and Queen respectively; our staff and student body had lots of celebratory snacks to choose from.

“The imagination of our Junior School pupils knows no bounds. It was a joy a to judge this competition that allowed us to bring to life winning recipes. I’m looking forward to our next culinary collaboration with pupils.’  Head of Catering, Carlo Lubrano
