Yesterday, Alleyn’s team took home the winner’s trophy at the London School’s FA Under 19 Final! Winning 4-1 against a strong Thomas Tallis side who the result did not do justice.

Not only that, but the team also included trailblazer Edie, 1st XI footballer and now also is the first girl in history to play in a London Schools FA Under 19 Final.

As our Head, Jane Lunnon said, this is “A monumental achievement for the team and for Edie. So proud of these pioneers!”

Football was on the agenda for more of our students yesterday, whilst our U19 team played away, our U13 Girls’ Teams stayed home. Alleyn’s played host to the Smith Construction ISFA Girls’ U13 South East Regional Tournament.  With some fine performances they were unfortunate to draw the eventual competition winners in the semi-final but did themselves proud!

“It's a real pleasure to be able to play our part in hosting this competition and others like them for the ISFA, we have a longstanding relationship with the governing body with several staff directly involved leading rep teams chairing committees and so on.” Gavin English, Director of Sport
