To kick off Multicultural Week, we were treated to exquisite music from the Kiwan Family group who played a selection of traditional Syrian music.

The Syrian band was first introduced to the UK in 2017 and has participated in many concerts and charity events.

Osama is a singer and oud player. He is a member of The Orchestra of Syrian Musicians, London Syrian Ensemble, and many more. He has taken part in many concerts such as the Cambridge Festival and Umm Kulthum and The Golden Era play.

Eleen is a singer and Folk Dance coach. She is a member of the Academy of Art and Arabic Heritage Choir and Masters of Syria. She has participated in many concerts in Manchester, Brighton, Epsom and more.

Hatem is a music composer and arranger. He plays the piano, viola and violin. Hatem is a member of the Orchestra of Syrian Musicians and he has played with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the World Harmony Orchestra and more.
He is currently pursuing his creative career by studying Digital media technology

18-year-old Hanen is the youngest member of the Orchestra of Syrian Musicians and Masters of Syria. She is a percussionist and a singer. She has played with Damon Albarn, the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Singing Our Lives project and the world Harmony Orchestra amongst others. She is currently studying Creative Media Practice at college.
