The latest Covid-19 guidance from the government meant that many of the School’s activities had to be cancelled or adapted in these final few days of Advent term. This was true for the ever-popular inter-House Lip Sync Battle the pupils had been looking forward to for so many weeks. However, despite there being no live audience in the Great Hall, the performances from all eight Houses went ahead and were electrifying and full of exuberance and laughter.
Dutton's transported themselves to sunnier climes with an uplifting performance of 'Holiday' by Madonna
Roper's showed off their cool with 'Cooler Than Me' by Mike Posner
Each House performed two songs each, throwing themselves fully into their numbers – literally in some cases – as somersaults and other gravity-defying feats were included in the dances. The performances were recorded for judging and to be shared with the rest of the school online. We wait with anticipation to see who will be crowned winning House at the final online assembly on Wednesday 15 December.
Spurgeon's gave it their all for a rendition of 'Gimme More' by Britney Spears
The Lip Sync Battles raises funds for our charities: Sparrows School in South Africa and the Refugee Council.
