It might have taken place five months after schedule but this was a trip worth waiting for. The children had a fantastic time at Stubbers Adventure Centre on Friday, 14 May. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to spend time playing and taking part in the myriad of challenges presented to them.
Among other activities, the children climbed an impossibly high pole, before balancing precariously on a tiny platform at the top and hurtling off towards a trapeze. There were moments that brought tears to the eyes of the teachers, witnessing the support the children gave to each other. Grass sledging competitions were held, laser tag tournaments too and the children worked cooperatively on various other team challenges involving a lot of tyres and planks of wood.
It was wonderful to see the children having so much fun again.
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
