Alleyn’s Senior School Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Co-ordinator Mr Alldrick visited Year 6 in the Junior School earlier this week to listen to the children talk about their Junior Duke challenges and tell them about what they might have in store with the DofE Award in the Senior School.

The Junior Duke is an award scheme for primary-aged children which, like the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, encourages and develops valuable life skills. Mr Alldrick was impressed with the Junior School pupils’ level of commitment, their original ideas for their challenges and the enthusiasm they showed towards the scheme.

As well as expressing what they are enjoying about the Junior Duke, the children were also able to hear from Mr Alldrick all about the exciting challenges the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme might offer them in just a few years' time!
