Launched on Netflix on March 12, The One, based on the psychological thriller of the same name by John Marrs, is already number 1 on Netflix. It stars AOG Hannah Ware as Rebecca Webb, the driven, ruthless CEO of MatchDNA, a company that matches people with their soulmates based on a simple genetic test. However, what seems like the ultimate answer to lasting love and happiness quickly unravels into unexpected and highly damaging repercussions.

Hannah (Brading’s 1994-2001), who described herself in one interview as ‘shy and lisping’ at School, started her career as a model and got her acting break by being spotted by Bruce Willis at a casting for 2010 comedy, Cop Out. She rose to fame in 2011 with her role of Emma Kane in the Starz political drama series 'Boss’ and has also starred in Betrayal, Oldboy, Shame, The Angel, Hitman: Agent 47 and Aftermath.

Of her recent role as Rebecca, Ware maintained that she empathised with the complex antagonist, despite some questionable decisions. “Personally, I don’t think an actor can play a character without humanising them in some aspect, and having some understanding and compassion for the character.” …It’s very hard to see her as an outright villain. It’s quite grey, I feel, with Rebecca.”, she is reported as saying to the Express Online.
