Mrs Reed and Miss Luddington kicked-off the celebrations by leading the School in a World Book Day assembly. The children watched and listened to Bruce Hale read his book ‘Big Bad Baby’ which was very funny. Then we shared two of the children’s poems that have been sent into us. We finished by watching MC Grammar rap about World Book Day and how books can take us into another world. Over the course of the week, every class has had an author workshop delivered via YouTube. We loved receiving the pictures of all the World Book Day activities the children completed over the course of the week, from a Charlotte’s Web cake to a vegetable dressed up as Harry Potter!
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
