New Art Website of Alumnus, Ben Cockett

Ben Cockett (Cribb’s 1979-86), told us that he was delighted to be launching his new website of art works from 1985–2020. It encompasses most of his artworks to date, and includes a still life painted in oil under the supervision of Peter Friedlander in the mid-eighties in the sanctuary of the Alleyn’s art room.  Ben said, “It is with great affection that I remember him; having taught me how to stretch paper which I am still doing today for my watercolours and gouaches which make up the bulk of my works to date; also Jim Brew’s thoroughly entertaining, off the wall humour and maverick sensibility was excellent preparation for life in the art world! I would be honoured if you would take a look”:
