Christopher Peilow (Brown’s 2001-08) was nominated for the Award at this year’s Sports Emmys, for his script of ‘Road To The Final’ – a 48-minute review of the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League season, starring Hollywood actor Jack O’Connell. He described how the script required weeks of meticulous planning and writing, ensuring every participating team and moment was highlighted, but also that every part of Jack’s narration had a rhyming element. He wrote, “Whilst I didn't end up winning the award, I was and still am incredibly proud to have been one of five nominees for a world-renowned international award and to have taken part in the ceremony which took place online, due to Covid. The entire production was a labour of love and the result of hard work from so many individuals.” The whole film – which won the screening award at the Sports Film Festival in Sicily earlier this year – can be viewed here.
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
