You are warmly invited to the private view of the Secret Postcards exhibition on 3 October 2019 from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm in the Lower School. This event, hosted by the Art department together with The 400th Anniversary Campaign is a charitable event that will celebrate creativity within our community and raise funds for the bursary programme.
The exhibition consists of over 400 postcard-sized artworks displayed anonymously on the theme CREATE: Past/ Present/ Future.
There are submissions from leading creatives, as well as contributions from talented pupils and alumni, and past and present parents and staff.
At the private view you are invited to view these artworks and make a note of which cards you would like to purchase with each postcard artwork priced at £40.00. It is only after the event when all preferences have been processed, that you will receive your postcard(s) and discover the name(s) of the artists. Random draws will allocate pieces in high demand.

We hope to increase bursary provision by 100% over the next decade, starting from our current strong position of 1 in 10 children receiving support to attend Alleyn’s, with a significant proportion of those paying no school fees at all. These are truly transformative bursaries for young people who would not otherwise be able to benefit from an Alleyn's education.

To do this, of course, we need financial help from the community and thus the launch of the campaign in this, the anniversary year of our foundations in 1619, by actor Edward Alleyn, who after leaving the stage took the bold step of starting a school for ‘poor scholars’.

If you would like to come please RSVP to  [email protected]

We look forward to seeing you there!
