In collaboration with LinkAge Southwark, our Year 10 Volunteering pupils hosted a traditional British afternoon tea for elderly guests from the local community. The pupils spent the morning baking an array of cakes, slices, and biscuits, transforming the Atrium into a warm and welcoming space with beautifully laid tables and homemade treats.

The afternoon was filled with conversation as pupils and guests chatted over tea and cake, sharing stories and learning from one another. For many of our visitors, it was an opportunity to reconnect with old friends or make new ones, while our pupils gained valuable experience in hosting and creating space for meaningful dialogue. Events like this not only help bridge the gap between generations but also foster a sense of community and mutual respect, benefiting everyone involved.
