We are proud to share that All Studios at Alleyn’s School has been named a Finalist for School Project of the Year in the Education Property Awards 2025

This national award recognises projects that stand out from the crowd, delivered to the highest standards of sustainability, social value, and innovation — and we are honoured that All Studios has been shortlisted alongside other outstanding educational projects from across the country.

Opened in January 2025, our donor funded All Studios is a bold and imaginative learning space designed to support the way young people think, create, and collaborate today — and into the future. Purpose-built to bring together technology, design, engineering, digital media, and the arts, it is a space where pupils can explore emerging ideas, experiment with confidence, and develop the skills to shape the world ahead.

At Alleyn’s, we believe that where children learn deeply influences how they learn — shaping not only their academic outcomes, but also their wellbeing, creativity, and sense of belonging. All Studios reflects this belief in every detail: a flexible, inclusive, and human-centred space with zones for reflection, collaborative areas for teamwork, and dynamic spaces for practical experimentation. It is also the home of our AiQ curriculum (Alleyn’s Intelligence Quotient) — our unique approach to preparing pupils for the future. AiQ builds an agile understanding of technology, paired with the intellectual skills and ethical principles to use it responsibly. Through AiQ, children from Reception to Year 12 engage in hands-on, interdisciplinary learning that is practical, collaborative, and values-led — empowering them to think creatively, act ethically, and work together to solve real-world challenges.

Sustainability was a key pillar of the project, with every aspect — from materials and energy use to the adaptive, future-proof design and hardware — carefully considered to reduce environmental impact while maximising longevity and flexibility. The social value of the project lies in how it empowers students: giving them space to have agency in their learning and connect meaningfully with one another across disciplines.

As our Head, Jane Lunnon, said at the launch, “All Studios is a celebration of what’s possible when education embraces creativity, technology, and child-centred design.” To now be recognised nationally for this vision is a moment of great pride for the entire Alleyn’s community.

We look forward to the Education Property Awards ceremony in May — and we celebrate this shortlist not only as an achievement in architecture and design, but as a testament to what can happen when design, education and purpose come together.
