This past week, we had the privilege of welcoming Ukrainian students as part of our ongoing partnership with UKUA Together for the Future Leaders Exchange Programme.

At the start of the week, there was a special moment for students to meet our Head, Jane Lunnon. They shared stories, exchanged ideas, and got to know one another, fostering meaningful connections across cultures.

Our Ukrainian students joined us for a Design and Technology (DT) lesson, where they dove into the world of design and manufacturing. Using 2D design software, they created moulds for key fobs and badges. It was inspiring to see their creativity in action! The excitement continued as they brought their designs to life. With guidance from Mr. Cork and Mr. Saville, the students laser-cut their moulds and then cast them in pewter. The hands-on experience was a real highlight, and the results were impressive.

In addition to their time in the classroom, some of our students kindly volunteered to buddy with our exchange students, guiding them through the Alleyn’s experience. This week also saw a range of exciting day trips for our visitors, including visits to the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London, Google HQ, and a sightseeing tour of London.

As we look ahead to the second week of the programme, we're excited to continue this enriching journey. The next week promises more learning, cultural exchange, and memorable experiences, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store!

Stay tuned for more updates on this incredible exchange programme!
