On Wednesday 31st January, we took 13 Year 11 Music GCSE students to go and see the magnificent ‘Wicked’ at The Apollo theatre.
It was a cold and wintery night that felt very appropriate for a musical about witches, wizards and witchcraft. However, it was the number one hit song ‘Defying Gravity’ that we were all looking forward to hearing, since that features in the GCSE Edexcel syllabus that they study. Despite Elphaba belting out those high notes, unfortunately the technical side of things must have malfunctioned as she failed to fly!
Despite that, it was a wonderful way to spend a Wednesday night and the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
