Ann Kenrick, a parent of a current pupil, has suggested Buxton, the School’s Field Centre in the Peak District. The Field Centre is situated south west of Buxton, Derbyshire, about 1.5 miles from the centre of the town.

All Year 7 pupils end their first year of secondary school by spending four days at Buxton with their class and Form Tutor. Together, they go rock-climbing, abseiling, go-karting, caving, and walking, as well as making the obligatory visit to Alton Towers.

The Field Centre was originally a crossing-keeper's cottage on the former Cromford and High Peak Railway, but has since been extended and modernised.
