Enhancing Pupil Support and Wellbeing

We are delighted to announce the introduction of two new Education Welfare Officers, Miss Talbot and Miss Hayward, who are already making a positive impact within the school community. The duo have joined the school as part of our ongoing commitment to pupil wellbeing, working from The Well, the school’s purpose-built wellbeing space that has quickly become a transformative resource for our pupils.

They join Mr Koloi’s team and have been hosting lively lunchtime volleyball matches in the sunshine to working one-on-one with pupils, they have brought fresh energy and a warm, approachable presence to their roles.

“We’re thrilled to have both Miss Talbot and Miss Hayward on board,” said Mr Koloi, they are already making a difference in supporting pupils.”

Alleyn’s School’s wellbeing strategy, underpinned by principles of positive psychology, focuses on helping pupils build mental resilience and emotional fitness. Pupils are encouraged to explore activities that bring them joy and a sense of fulfillment, whether that’s through sports, creative outlets, or community service. The goal is to empower pupils to ‘find their thing’—a pursuit or passion that enhances their wellbeing and fosters meaningful connections with others.
