It was a great pleasure to host the annual CCF senior cadet's leaving dinner last Friday evening.

Gowns from Milan, tailored mess kits and shining medals brought more than a sense of panache to the prestigious event.

Speeches that referenced the value of a cadet experience and how it adds value to our past, present and future people, whether or not they follow any form of service, set the tone for the formal event and it was enjoyable listing to the highs, lows and accomplishments made over enriching cadet careers.

The eloquence of cadet RSM Nathaniel W stole the show with a trip down memory lane that allowed all to share in the highlights of his time as a cadet. It was also a pleasure to again host Commodore D'Silva, but this time as our VIP guest rather than inspecting officer.

It was a well enjoyed evening by all, with brilliant food and service from the catering department. We look forward to seeing where our Year 13 cadet leavers go with their futures, and how they carry many of the skills and learnings through with them in their next steps in life. All the best!
