After 18 months of preparation the Year 11 pupils have done themselves proud at their much anticipated GCSE Dance performance exam on Wednesday. Miss Demain spoke of how impressed she was by their outstanding progress and professionalism, expressing delight at how all their hard work has paid off.
Lois in Year 11 says; 'I remember vividly coming to watch the Dance Show for the first time in Year 5 and being blown away by the GCSE dance students. I decided then that I wanted to study GCSE Dance and perform this dance. It really has been a dream come true and I'm so sad that it's the last time performing this piece together'.
We hotly anticipate dancers taking the stage later this term for the Dance Show 'THRIVE' - which will see three separate showcases across three nights in the MCT. Dancers are committed to their intensive preparation, attending lunchtime and after school practices in order to put their best foot forward, come THRIVE.
Well done to our wonderful Dance Department for their tireless work, we can't wait for you to take to the stage at the end of term!
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
