As the bustling Advent Term comes to a close, there's one anticipated event that stands out among the rest – House Ice Skating. Brimming with laughter and delight, the prospect of over 500 pupils gliding across the ice with their respective houses is nothing short of enchanting.

Overcoming the challenges of relentless traffic, Dutton's, Spurgeon's, Brading's, and Brown's managed to make it to Canary Wharf on a Tuesday, securing their coveted ice-skating slot. The determination to participate was so palpable that even Mr. Lewis, usually composed, couldn't hide his disappointment at the mere thought of missing out on showcasing his figure-skating prowess.

On Wednesday night, Cribb's, Tulley's, Roper's, and Tyson's took centre stage, indulging in the festive spirit with mince pies and merry renditions of Christmas songs on the coaches. The atmosphere was electric, and the sentiment was unanimous – a perfect way to bid farewell to the term and usher in the holiday season.

For Freddie, a Year 9 student from Cribb's, it wasn't just a day; it was the best day ever! The Houses, regarded as the heart of the school, brought everyone together, hand in hand, as they gracefully glided around the Christmas tree on the ice rink. In that magical moment, all worries of the term faded away, leaving hearts full and memories etched in the joyous spirit of the season
