Activities Week (Monday 26th June 2023 - Thursday 29th June 2023)
On Monday 26 June, a group of enthusiastic Year 9 pupils travelled to the charming coastal region of Devon. Devon (with its popular beaches, rugged cliffs and picturesque landscapes) provided the perfect backdrop for an exciting week of activities. The itinerary was carefully designed to foster teamwork, communication skills, and self-confidence through a series of fun and thrilling activities including surfing, coasteering and high ropes.
With surfboards in hand, eager to surf the waves, they learned to find their balance, cheered each other on, and tackled the waves with confidence and a willingness to keep moving, swimming and smiling! Through coasteering they explored the rocky cliffs and pools – seeing the coast from a different angle. Through shared encouragement and support, they discovered the power of collaboration and the joy of achieving goals together.
Beyond the adrenaline-fueled activities, Activities Week also provided opportunities for the pupils to hone their communication skills, leaving their mobile phones behind in favour of conversations and new experiences in a unique natural setting.
Thanks to our dedicated and skilled team who organised a fantastic week of activities. Their efforts and commitment ensured a safe and enriching experience for each pupil.
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
