Digital Academy Supporters' Networking Event

We welcomed parents, alumni and other supporters of the Digital Academy to Alleyn's on Thursday to give them an update on our first project, which is an after-school club for 48 Year 8-10 pupils from Alleyn's and two local state partner schools which focuses on ideation, design and the basics of coding.

This project is playing a vital part in us testing and refining our vision to bring coding, enterprise, and tech entrepreneurship more directly into the lives of all our pupils and the lives of children beyond our school community who don’t have access to this kind of specialist learning in their day to day lives.

The event was useful in generating thought-provoking discussions on our key priorities for the Digital Academy and it's future. We hope attendees found it useful in gaining valuable insight and feedback on our next steps, as well as a chance for parents to meet other contacts whose work or have a personal interest in the digital sector.
