Extreme House Pancake Tossing

The annual House Extreme Pancake Tossing competition, which takes place in March so that those returning from study leave can join in the fun, always draws an enthusiastic crowd.

House members came out to watch their pancake tossing champions compete courageously against each other and some quite strong winds to bring home the title of Extreme Pancake Tossing Champions for their House.

House champions were given three attempts at tossing the pancake as high as they could. While those who caught their pancakes attracted extra cheers, it was the highest of their three tosses that counted as their final score.

The competition was tough, but the crowd cheered and clapped each participant as they made each attempt. It was a close thing but in the end it was the Spurgeon’s Champion who edged ahead with a throw of 13 feet... well done, Spurgeon's!
