Signing the Head’s Book is a true accolade. If a teacher asks a pupil to go to the Head’s Study to sign the Book it is a recognition of outstanding achievement on the part of that pupil.

We want to recognise every pupil who goes above and beyond, so pupils can be asked to sign the Book for many reasons, which include, but are by no means restricted to, academic achievements.

Huge congratulations to the twenty-nine pupils, with a special mention to Izzy and Kate, who signed the Book twice this term, and to Esther, who signed it three times! Descriptions of how pupils earned their special recognition are summarised here, but each represents a tale of excellence and hard-work!

All of the Books are carefully archived, and the first Head’s Book for Outstanding Achievement, from the Advent term 1992, is still in the Head’s study today. It must be a nice thought for those who have signed that their names will remain on record for posterity!
