On Friday 19 May 2023 and Saturday 20 May 2023, we hosted our first Graydin's The Anatomy: Foundational Coaching Course for Alleyn's staff from the Senior School, Junior School and Operational Staff. The Anatomy is designed to ignite new ways of being, communicating and leading. With the guidance of co-facilitators McKenzie Cerri (Graydin's Co-Founder) and Assistant Head Rob Atkinson, the participants learned how to use coaching in education with coaching models and tools specifically designed for educators.
Our vision is that a values and service-based approach to personal leadership, rooted in the School's ROCCK values, is embedded across the Alleyn's community. This course was the first step towards our objective, which is to embed Graydin's values-based coaching methodology as a tool to: empower staff and pupils to take ownership of their futures and to be the best versions of themselves, increase the quality of classroom interactions, improve the quality of student mentoring, improve pupil and staff wellbeing. As noted by Assistant Head Rob Atkinson,
"Coaching will foster independent students, confident teachers and aligned schools."
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
