Thursday saw 65 Alleyn’s pupils compete in the Southwark Championships, the first big event of the season and for lots of year 7s, their first competition of this kind.
The day contained lots of individual success stories, Phoebe (year 9) winning the high jump, Emily (year 8) winning the javelin in her first ever competition, James (year 8) running a phenomenal 1500m, and Millie (year 8) achieving a personal best in the high jump to name just a few.
It was great to have so many pupils representing the school and competing to be selected for the Southwark team. Bring on the ESAA Track and Field Cup next week!
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
