Twenty-nine Year 10 GCSE Drama pupils took part in a high energy Frantic Assembly workshop to support their GCSE Drama studies this week.
Frantic Assembly is one of the most successful and best loved theatre companies in the UK and the workshops were a chance for pupils to learn more about the empowering and inspiring Frantic method, designed to build confidence, bravery and – ultimately – creativity.
Pupils learnt the principles of working physically with lifting techniques and creative tasks. The energetic approaches pupils learnt will support them in the Devising Practical Work element of their GCSE Drama studies. This involves learning how to create and develop ideas to communicate meaning in a devised theatrical performance.
Thank you to the Frantic Assembly team and to our Year 10 Drama pupils for throwing themselves into the workshops – both emotionally and physically!
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
